ABOUT BONE HEADZ - We are a family business that specializes in skull cleaning using dermestid beetles. These tiny insects are the crucial component in our cleaning process. We do not recommend the old-fashion boiling method, which is known to yield less-than-stellar results on a regular basis. In addition to discoloring and shrinking the skull, boiling can cause it to fragment, thereby destroying the trophy that you may have waited a lifetime for. With our dermestid beetle method, the chance of encountering such difficulties is mimimal. Similarly, because we have no need to heat your skull to extreme temperatures for extended peroids of time, your trophy's score will be reduced only by the unavoidable natural drying process. Boiling also results in brittle bones, and loose teeth which must be glued back in place; with our dermestid beetle method, these complications are avoided.
